Supposedly, Snow on it's way...

NWS LAKE EFFECT SNOW WATCH

Hope it happens!  I would like the totals to go up but anything is better than nothing.  Always love it when there is some snow on the ground at the shootout.

MY thoughts on Duluth.

OK Duluth is been in the books for a few weeks but I have be thinking about what my thoughts on this race were before I wrote anything.  I even wanted to wait until after the Ironwood race but I figured I'd throw this up before that.  Here is what went down in Pro

Friday- Ross Martin-POL wins AMSOil Shootout

Saturday- 1. Robbie Malinoski-DOO  2. Ross Martin-POL  3. Tim Tremblay-DOO  4. Hibbert

Sunday- 1. Ross Martin-POL  2. T.J. Gulla-POL  3. Tucker Hibbert-CAT

Yes, Malinoski won Saturday but Martin won Friday and Sunday but last I knew 2 wins were better than 1.

Biggest story in my opinion?  Cat only having 2 sleds in the Pro final on Saturday besides Tucker!  2!!  This sled reminds me of that toilet that ski-doo put out in 2008.  Cat has been putting the testing work in since this event to get the machine right so I am sure it will be better at Ironwood but MAN that thing looked terrible at Duluth IMO.  People can bag on Tucker because he didn't win.  Kinda like what happened when Carmichael was so dominate, he was EXPECTED to win.  Anything less was a let down. I thought Tucker rode great for what the circumstances were and he will do better at Ironwood.  One thing is for sure the rest of the field has stepped it up and it is going to be a great season.

If you missed the race online check it out on Versus (Soon to be called NBC Sports)
Sunday 12/18 5 PM ET

Random Notes- This guy (me) is pumped to see TJ riding like his old self.  Also I was glad to see Tater make the Pro final along with showing the Pro Vet class how it is done also.  Guy is a beast.  Levi is looking good and made the final both days.  He straight up caught and PASSED Hibbert in in a heat one day.  I know he is taking it easy so he doesn't get hurt before his NYE jump but once that goes down the guy will be going to podiums if not wins for sure.

Bender's sick Open sled on Saturday.  Check out those tall spindles!  Sneak peak of 2013?

2011 Woodgate Shootout Preview

Well it's here again the kick off to the new snowmobile season, THE SHOOTOUT!  Here is the results from last year (if anyone cares)

Polaris 600 Rush: 12.7 sec. @ 88 MPH
Cat snow Pro 600: 12.7 sec. @ 91 MPH
Ski-Doo 600 ???: 12.9 sec. @ 90 MPH.

Cat snowpro 800: 12.1 sec.@ 95 MPH.
SkiDoo 800 XP: 11.8 sec. @ 98 MPH.

Biggest change I see for this year is that Cat is on the 4 stroke fart machine in the "600" class this year.

I could care less about the numbers unless something was, like, a second faster than another sled.  Ya the Yami is fast but go put that pig through the bumpy twisties and see how that hog goes.

Anyway we will be there.  I know I know you are saying "wait didn't he just say he doesn't care?!"  well, you are right.  But the shootout is like a big party, and the after party goes all day and night.  Last I knew daddy likes to party so I'll be there gettin white boy wasted.  If you like to have a good time look for the yellow school bus full of rowdies but don't come empty handed, BYOB bitches.  OML preferred.

C ya there.

Woode

Yup, pretty sure every person in this picture has a beer in their hand.  That's the Shootout

Old Beater Going BIG

Now this is when men were men.  This beast lines up at this thing with no regard for man or machine and just pins it.  3" of travel?! Who Cares!
Enjoy

2012 Polaris race sled.

Here is a picture of the new 2012 Polaris snocross sled.  Details are to be released at Haydays this weekend.  I'm LOVING the retro graphics, although this is not the first time we have seen this.  Hulten Speed sports had their race sleds done up with the retro look decals years ago.  Bunke was running a look like this last year on his RUSH also.

Now this is a high powered beater!!

I've seen newer liquid twins stuffed in a vintage chassis but never a triple on such a small frame as an Elan!  This thing looks like it flat out rips!  These guys must have to much time on their hands up in norway.  See for yourself...

When you need to get your sled somewhere but do not have a trailer..

Ok, I've had to tow a sled with another sled before.  I've also towed a Car with another Car before but I've never seen this!  Since this sled is on the road and being towed by a car it makes it a total BEATER SLED.  These guys obviously do not give a fuck!  Only thing that would make it better is if the rope let go and there was an epic yardsale and this sled was spread all over the highway.

Up coming events.
